(6), 447, (1); (4), 483, (1) pages; 3 plates of inscriptions; 5 + 2 plates of coins [those of the first volume signed by P. Maggi]. Bindings a bit worn, with rear joint of first volume cracked. Very good or better. An extensive catalogue of 4879 ancient Greek and 5747 ancient Roman coins. Rarely offered, particularly complete as here. Babelon 161: “The Accademia delle Scienze at Turin received Filippo Lavy’s collection at much the same time [as King Carlo-Alberto acquired the Arigoni collection], and it finally became part of the Royal Cabinet in 1866.” Leitzmann 73.
