Essentially, Tolmatscheff-Sosnowski and Werschinin formed an outstanding comprehensive collection by making selections from various institutional holdings. Zander, in his “Collector’s Selective Guide to Russian Numismatic Literature,” described the sales as “a stunning series with many great rarities.” Clain-Stefanelli 11222* and 11227.
